  • What has been your favourite blog post to write and why?

Arches National ParkMoab, Utah Post

My favourite blog post that I have written so far has to be Moab, Utah simply because of the incredible memories I have of that trip. Moab has two incredible national parks to visit Canyonlands and the Arches neither can be missed it is an amazing part of the world that I hope to get a chance to explore further in the future.

Haytor Rocks Dartmoor, Devon

Haytor Rocks are located on Dartmoor National Park about 30 minutes drive from Exeter city centre. It’s a great place to visit on a sunny day with panoramic views of the moor. There are also short walks in all directions, we took one heading down to a small stream and an old quarry a beautiful spot. It would be a great place to take small children as it is all easily accessible with steps carved into the side of the rocks so that anyone can climb to the top and grazing Dartmoor ponies roaming around the whole area. If you’re into rock climbing you can also climb the rocks which I hope to go back and do myself. The only downside was that there were too many people surprising for a crisp day in February. Still another highly recommended spot to visit.

Books to Read While Traveling: The Beach by Alex Garland

the beach

I love this book! Every time I read it or even see the movie adaptation, I just wanted to throw everything aside and head off on another adventure. The Beach by Alex Garland follows a young man’s experience, travelling in Thailand. He comes across a crazy man in Bangkok who lets him in on a secret. A traveller community hidden away on a remote island, living the good life surrounding by incredible natural beauty. Though as it turns out it’s not quite all it’s cracked up to be.   Highly recommended read.

Blue Mountains, Australia

I briefly visited the Blue Mountains during my travels around Australia in 2012 but can’t wait to explore them further during my trip in four months time! An incredible place to go hiking, canyoning and sightseeing. Just a few hours from Sydney, a great place for a day trip if you can’t stay longer.
